Does 7-Eleven sell Plan B pills?

Editorially reviewed on October 29, 2026. [TODO: medical reviewer]

Quick answer

No. Plan B is not registered in the Philippines, so 7-Eleven and every pharmacy cannot legally sell it.[src] A store can sell you condoms and a pregnancy test, but emergency options need a doctor. Talk to a doctor today: a copper IUD within 5 days of sex is the most effective option.[src]

Why no store has it

In 2001 the Bureau of Food and Drugs (now the FDA) revoked the registration of Postinor, a dedicated emergency pill, and no dedicated emergency pill has been registered since.[src] A medicine that is not registered cannot be sold by 7-Eleven, Mercury, Watsons or any licensed drugstore. Convenience stores also cannot sell prescription medicines at all; those need a licensed pharmacy and a prescription.[src] Our main page on Plan B and 7-Eleven covers the legal history.

What a store can legally sell you tonight

These are useful, but none of them is emergency contraception:

  • Condoms. No prescription needed. A box of 3 costs ₱38.75 to ₱53.75 at Watsons.[src] Use them from now on until you have a regular method, because emergency options do not protect you from sex later in the same cycle.[src]
  • A pregnancy test. A Trust Clear Check test costs ₱64.75. Testing the morning after sex is too early to show anything. Use our test timing tool to find the earliest reliable day.
  • Nothing else. Vitamins, herbal drinks, pineapple juice and "pamparegla" products do not prevent pregnancy.[src]

Why online "Plan B" sellers are a bad bet

Some marketplace and social media accounts claim to sell imported morning after pills. Selling medicines that way is not allowed in the Philippines, and the FDA has ordered marketplaces to take medicine listings down.[src] You cannot check what is inside, whether it is expired, or whether it arrives in time. The days you lose waiting for a parcel are days a doctor could have used. A copper IUD does not depend on any shipment.

What to say when you call a clinic

Clinics move faster when you give them the facts up front. You can say:

"Hi, I need emergency contraception. I had unprotected sex on [date and time]. My last period started on [date]. Can I come in today, or can you tell me where to go?"

  • Have the date of your last period ready. The doctor needs it.
  • Mention if you take any pill now, and whether you missed some. The Missed Pill Helper can help you sort that out first.
  • Ask if they insert copper IUDs. If not, ask who nearby does. Likhaan offers free IUDs.[src]

Emergency contraception is not abortion: WHO says emergency pills work by preventing or delaying ovulation and do not end a pregnancy that has already started.[src]

Three legal routes

Talk to a doctor today

Emergency options in the Philippines need a doctor. Pick the route that suits you. For adults 18 and over.

Online consult options

For adults 18 and over. Fees are set by each provider and can change.

Frequently asked questions

Does Watsons or Mercury sell Plan B?

No. Plan B and other dedicated emergency pills are not registered in the Philippines, so licensed pharmacies cannot sell them. Talk to a doctor today about a copper IUD or other options.

Can a pregnancy test tell me tomorrow if I am pregnant?

No, it is too early. A test needs time after sex to become reliable. Use the test timing tool to find the right day, and talk to a doctor today about emergency options.

This guide is for information. Talk to a doctor before starting, stopping or switching birth control.
