About us
Last updated October 29, 2026
Birth Control Philippines is an independent guide to birth control for Filipinas. We are not a pharmacy, a pill maker, a clinic or a government agency.
What we do
- Explain every pill brand sold in the Philippines (19 so far), always with its generic name, so you know what is actually in the pack.
- Show real peso prices from retailer websites, checked monthly (last checked October 2026), and point out cheaper brands with the same formula.
- Explain the legal ways to get a prescription: free at a health center, from an OB-GYN, or by teleconsult. See Do you need a prescription?
- Answer the fears Filipinas actually search for, in English and in Taglish, with sources you can check.
- Build free tools (pill tracker, missed pill helper, method quiz) that keep your answers on your phone. See privacy by design.
What we will not do
- Sell medicines, or help anyone skip the prescription step.
- List pharmacies that "don't ask for reseta", or link marketplace or social media medicine sellers.
- Publish emergency contraception doses. We route you to a doctor instead.
- Publish abortion content.
- Invent doctors, reviewers, testimonials or statistics.
Who is behind the site
The site is independently owned. The same owner runs sister guides for other life stages: pcosphilippines.com and menopausephilippines.com.
We do not yet have a medical reviewer. We are working to sign a Filipino OB-GYN, and we will show their name, PRC licence and review dates only once they have actually reviewed our pages. Read our medical review policy.
How we work
- Editorial policy: which sources we trust, how we check prices, and how we use Reddit.
- How we make money: referral fees, and what never influences our content.
- Privacy policy and medical disclaimer.
